When you connect your account, you authorize us to receive certain account information from start.gg so we can identify you and power features such as your ads dashboard. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.


4. Advertising and Paid Promotions

SMASHEVENTS.NET offers tools for organizers and advertisers to promote tournaments and related events, including regional placements and featured hero slots. By creating an ad, you confirm that you have the rights to use any logos, text, and other content you submit and that your ad complies with applicable laws and community standards.

  • Advertisers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their promotions and any obligations they make to players or attendees.
  • We do not guarantee any specific results (such as registrations, sales, or view counts) from an ad campaign.
  • Payments for ads are processed by Stripe. Once a campaign is booked and running, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
  • We reserve the right to refuse, pause, or remove any ad that we believe violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

5. Intellectual Property

The content on SMASHEVENTS.NET includes text, images, and data provided by third-party services, specifically start.gg, which is used to display event and result listings and related information. While we have the right to use this content as provided by the API, the intellectual property rights for this content remain with the respective third-party providers and rights holders.

For content created by SMASHEVENTS.NET, including custom graphics, layouts, and text, that content is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on this content without our express written consent.

By submitting content for ads or other features (such as logos, banners, and descriptions), you grant SMASHEVENTS.NETa non-exclusive license to host, display, and use that content solely for operating and promoting the services you request.


6. Third-Party Services and Links

Our site integrates and depends on third-party services, including but not limited to start.gg for event data and authentication, Stripe for payments, hosting and database providers, and analytics or advertising partners. These services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

Our site may also contain links to external websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party sites, content, products, or services.


7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content (including event data from third parties), nor do we guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes related to these Terms of Use will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitration will take place in San Diego, California, and the decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding.

If the parties cannot agree on an arbitration organization, the arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the laws of California.
